WERE OFF TO SWEDEN.....AGAIN!!!!
(but this time by road not air!!!) We (Oli, Richard, Paul and Flippy) are leaving for Sweden on Friday 22nd July and hopefully arriving at the Jamboree site on Monday 25th July after driving 968 miles through England, France, Belguim, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and Sweden.e After about 9 hours of travelling we will get to our first destination... just north of Antwerp in The Netherlands. We'll sleep at a campsite then leave early morning off to visit Arnhem (A Bridge too far), have a couple of hours around Arnhem then off to our next Destination....Germany.... We will arrive at our campsite just north of Hamberg early evening pitch up and then explore the surrounding area. On the Sunday we have a ferry booked from Puttgarden to Rodby...so will be heading towards Copenhagen and stopping over near Copenhagen for the Sunday night, hopefully seeing lots of Scouts - upto 4000 definatly from the UK and maybe also from around the World. Bright and early Monday morning we will be leaving Copenhagen for our 2-3 hr drive (last stretch) to Rinkaby (Jamboree Site). Hopefully arrive earlyish to get a good location for our new home for 3 weeks. Here is a map of our route...  Keep visiting this page for updates from now on and even after the Jamboree.... |
